What is Smart Eye Camera®?

A slit-lamp camera adapted from a human medical device for veterinary use — compact, easy to implement, and highly versatile.

  • Easily diagnose anterior eye conditions in animals
    • Attach the device to a smartphone to use it as a slit-lamp camera.
    • Choose from three illumination modes: slit light, white diffused light, and blue diffused light.
    • Clearly observe the cornea, anterior chamber, and lens.
  • Manage and review images via the dedicated app
    • Capture images in the app and store them securely in the cloud. Access and review all past images anytime via a web browser on PC.
    • Consult remotely via in-app image sharing.
    • AI-assisted image analysis is planned for veterinary use (already available in the human version).
  • Originally a human medical device, now registered for veterinary use.
    • Developed by OUI inc., the device is based on a human medical model.
    • Its clinical effectiveness has been demonstrated in university hospitals and research institutions in Japan and abroad, and it has been featured on the World Health Organization (WHO) platform.
